FIT TIP:
Our Explorer Sandals are, in our opinion, the most forgiving with sizing. They do not have a toe spring, meaning they don't pull up off of the ground at the toes, which gives them a roomier feel.

FOR CLOSED TOE: We have customers who choose a size with a close measurement to their own to allow the leather to stretch and form to their foot shape, while others will add up to 1cm of length to their measurement to allow room for toe spacers, socks and even taller toenails!

FOR OPEN TOE: We recommend choosing a size that is closest to your length measurement - without going lower than it. This will put your toes close to the front stitching without leaving too much extra space that can cause tripping.


We can also customize the volume of the toe piece where your foot enters. If you know you have a high or low volume foot, you can include a volume measurement in your order notes. You can find your measurement for the Explorers by measuring midway down your foot (about where the opening would fall) from the ground, up and over the top of your foot, back down to the ground again.

We find that finding your perfect Explorer size provides a good "base line" when selecting sizes for other styles.
