Looking over at my leather shelves in the sewing room, there are over 100 different kinds of leather, granted some pieces may only yield a pair or two (and don't even get me started on my scrap collection). I typically introduce a hide to the shop and if I can reorder it, I will.. over and over again as the orders come in. While this sounds lovely - it resulted in us making the same items on repeat and not having the time to plan and launch NEW things for you.
If you follow me on Instagram, you may know by now how transparent I aim to be and I figured I'd give a bit of an in depth explanation to the way we will be doing drops in 2024.

When I got engaged in 2021 and we booked our wedding venue, I knew that November and December of 2023 were going to be off limits for me, shop wise. I wanted to focus on and enjoy the wedding planning process and take in all of the emotions and moments surrounding it. Mama Donna and I hoped to spend 2023 making some Ready to Ship items so that we could still participate in something exciting for Black Friday but not be completely inundated with making and fulfilling orders. Needless to say, we were (thankfully) so busy throughout the last year we couldn't even THINK of squeezing in a pair that wasn't on our order queue. Before we knew it, the Holidays were coming and despite holding an early Black Friday event the first weekend of November, we were still fulfilling orders well into January.
Now, this is in no way meant to sound as though I am not grateful for the orders I have been so lucky to receive. I have been able to keep this shop open, hire my Mama and do what I love for 8.5 years THANKS TO YOU. This is just a moment of honesty to say that, because we didn't have a solid plan, things got a little hectic. The end of 2023 forced me to take a pause and step away from this small shop of mine. The Holidays are always chaotic and busy, as to be expected, but this one felt different for me.
Without going into too much detail, I was burnt out and started to feel the need to make a shift in the way I've been doing things. Not only for my mental health but for my family, friends and YOU!
Upon stepping away, Mama Donna and I were really able to wrap our minds around what could be done differently and we developed a solid plan that would keep us inspired and you excited!

This year, we will be launching 20 brand new hides and relaunching 50 customer favorites.
| HOW THIS WILL LOOK: |

- We will have 2-4 drops (launches) a month. ALL WITH LIMITED LEATHER - NOTHING WILL REMAIN IN THE SHOP AFTER A DROP IS OVER |
| - Drops will happen on Fridays at 11am est and that leather will be available until that Sunday at 11pm est, unless it sells out sooner. |
| - We will sneak a peek at the coming month's collection on the last day of the month prior but sneak peeks of what exactly is dropping will come the Wednesday before. For example, on January 31, you'll see us share what you can expect to launch in February however, we won't reveal what hides are launching what day. To see what you can expect on drop Fridays, be sure to check on our Instagram or sign up for our email list for our "What's dropping Wednesday". |
| - Each drop will have something different and some hides will be more limited than others. For example, a drop can have a brand new color that will be offered in all styles as well as 2 returning hides that are very limited and may only be available to make 3 pairs of Explorer sandals in order for us to get the most out of the piece. |
| - We will have a shorter turnaround time, to ship within 7-14 business days (aiming for sooner). |
This is quite a bit different from what we typically do, but we feel really confident that this will help us clear our shelves while giving everyone a chance to get their hands on some really beautiful, limited edition hides.
