We recommend choosing a size that is fairly close to your measurement!
Our Size Chart below shows the interior measurement from seam to seam, on these OPEN TOE EXPLORERS, the front seam is exposed/open. Ideally, you'll want to be pretty close to that front "seam" so that there is a good balance between being right AT the edge and having too much space. Too much space between your foot and the edge can cause for a flopping front that results in tripping.
