This adult style has a slight toe spring, meaning that it can pull up slightly at the toes. For this reason, we recommend sizing up at least a half size from your ideal size.
Our "Mama" Janes are handmade with genuine leather, comfortably lined with pigskin suede for all-day wear. With a scooped front, adjustable buckle strap and flexible, zero-drop suede inner sole, these shoes will keep you feeling stylish and secure year-round. The latex-free rubber outer sole lends a minimal approach to this popular traditional style.
Our suede lining adds stability, but may feel snug at first in our Mama Janes. Our genuine leather is known to stretch and mold to your foot for a comfortable fit.

These Mama Janes are simply gorgeous. Wonderful craftsmanship. I will say to adhere to Crystal’s advice about going a half size up. I should have done that so that these shoes would be perfect. I got a 6.5 and should have gotten a 7. Either way, they’re beautiful and I hope to get a pair that’ll fit me a little better here soon!
I am new to barefoot shoes. I must not have measured correctly because they feel a little loose, and I imagine that they will stretch out. They are SUPER SUPER comfortable. I just don’t know how practical they will be for every day wear.
Oh, Marjorie! I'm so sorry they aren't what you expected. Barefoot shoes can be a bit of an adjustment at first, especially when finding the size/width/styles that feel best (and this can even change as your foot begins to change!). The Wide/Full Splay toe box can be a little jarring if one is not anticipating just how wide it truly is. If you do plan to order again, I'd be happy to discuss sizing with you to make sure we find a fit that you're happy with! I appreciate you supporting my small shop and giving these shoes a try!

I bought a pair of Mama Janes in size 8.5 Wide / color Mushroom, and I fell in love with them from the moment I put them on my feet! No break in period needed, these shoes feel like they were made for my feet! Mushroom is such a cool, unique neutral that pairs with pretty much everything. Most important though, I can really feel Crystal's thoughtfulness about shape and sizing when I wear these shoes because they just hug my feet. My toes have never felt so free in a shoe, even in big name barefoot brands. I'm a forever customer!! Cutest, most comfortable barefoot shoes! I seriously wear these pretty much every day!
